If you think you might qualify for financial assistance, please feel free to familiarize yourself with our Open Doors program, which helps the YMCA ensure that no one is turned away from our programs or membership due to an inability to pay.

Triad Memberships:
A new member fee is required to begin a membership. The fee is used to make capital improvements to your YMCA. Recent enhancements such as construction of new fitness centers, cardio centers, and Cycle Reebok Studios are possible because of the new member fee. In addition, major structural or mechanical replacements, such as a new boiler or new roofing are paid for with revenues from the new member fee.
All new members joining the YMCA or current members who let their membership lapse for more than 30 days may be required to pay the New Member Fee. The second adult member in a family membership arrangement may join within 30 days without paying the New Member Fee. Payment of the New Member Fee is required when a member joins or renews late. Transfers may be required to pay the New Member Fee.
The YMCA of Northwest North Carolina will give a full refund if a member is not completely satisfied within 30 days of joining, including their new member fee. |
